What we keep, and for how long
Revised 27 October 2026. The data side of teasing-media.com, written the way we write a beat sheet: in order, and short.
Beat one: who holds your details
Teasing Media, the teaser-trailer studio behind teasing-media.com, is the controller of anything you hand over through this site. It works from Brighton, East Sussex, England. Questions about your details, or requests to change them, go to [email protected] and are read by the same people who cut the teasers.
Beat two: what the booking page takes
When you book, you type in a name and an email address, the title and kind of launch, a launch date, a note on your material and perhaps a download link, plus the length and extras you ticked and the brief itself. That is the whole list. Each item is there because a beat sheet cannot be written without it. The page hands your entry to FormSubmit, a relay that turns web forms into email, and it lands in the studio inbox; FormSubmit does nothing further with it.
We rely on the fact that you asked us for a quote and, later, for the work. Booking emails stay with us while the teaser is in progress and then for six years, because tax records in England must be kept that long; after that they are erased. The footage, art and captures you share are wiped from our edit drives ninety days after the masters go out, unless you ask us to hold them for a re-cut.
Beat three: cookies, or rather their absence
No cookie is written by teasing-media.com, and no tracking, analytics or advertising code is loaded on any page. The small card you meet on a first visit saves a single setting in your own browser's local storage, labelled tm_cookie_decision, purely so it stays out of your way next time. Nothing on the site reads that setting at present. Should we ever switch on visitor measurement, it would only run for people who said yes on that card, and this page would be revised before it went live. The typefaces come from Google Fonts, so Google's servers see your IP address when a page loads, the same as any server delivering a file.
Beat four: who else sees anything
Your details are never sold, swapped or lent out for anyone's mailing list. Three outside services touch them, each only to do its one job: the form relay, the provider that runs our mailbox, and — when you pay a deposit — the card processor behind the secure payment link.
Beat five: what you can ask of us
UK and EU data law lets you see a copy of the details the studio holds on you, fix anything wrong, ask for erasure, take the data away in a machine-readable file, or object to a particular use. Residents of California are separately entitled to learn which categories of data we gather, to request deletion, to refuse any sale of it (we make none), and to equal service whatever they choose. Send any of these requests to [email protected]. You will hear back inside a calendar month. If you feel we have handled your data badly, the Information Commissioner's Office takes complaints in the UK.
Final beat: edits to this page
When this notice is re-cut, the revision date under the heading moves with it. Credits for the photographs used across the site sit on the terms page.
